Electronic Funding

Electronic funding of your online brokerage account is easy with “mytradebook.” You can learn more on this page.

Online payments are for the primary purpose of the purchase of securities. There is no minimum deposit required to open an account on “mytradebook.”

How to fund your account online:

Fund your account using VISA/MASTERCARD/VERVE

  • Funding can be made online using a valid credit (Visa/MasterCard) or debit card (Verve).
  • Visit www.mytradebook.com and log in with your username and password.
  • Click on Deposit Funds under the Account Overview page.
  • Select the account you want to fund, and enter the amount you want to deposit, and click Continue.
  • Confirm the amount to be paid to Greenwich Securities through the online funding, and click Continue. You will be redirected to the Interswitch Web site to finalize your payment.
  • Once a successful payment has been made via Interswitch, you will be redirected back to “mytradebook,” and your account will be instantly funded.
  • Trading can commence immediately once a successful payment has been made.

Electronic Funding Restriction

  • When funding a new “mytradebook” brokerage account for the first time with a debit or credit card through the online platform, you can fund with whatever amount you choose, as there are no minimum deposit restrictions, thus giving you the freedom you deserve.
  • Funds deposited electronically can be used immediately for trading.
  • Please note: Certain account types may have higher minimum and maximum deposit limits.
  • When depositing additional funds to an existing account, you may deposit up to N500,000.00 per day. There is no minimum electronic funding amount for additional deposits into existing accounts.

Wire Transfers

Fund your “mytradebook” online brokerage accounts quickly and easily with a wire transfer.

After opening an account, you can fund it via wire transfer with any amount. Please include your newly generated account number as a reference. Local Bank Transfers

Bank transfers can be made to your “mytradebook” account via your financial institution. Please have the bank include your CSCS and brokerage account numbers for reference.

If allowed by your financial institution—for subscribers of Internet banking services—you can also initiate an online transfer from your bank account.

A bank transfer from an individual or corporate bank account may be deposited into an individual or corporate brokerage account.

After the deposit has been made, send an e-mail to customerservice@gtlgroup.com with the deposited amount and depositor's name.

Foreign Wire Transfer

Wire transfers that involve a bank outside of Nigeria are classified as foreign wires. An intermediary bank is needed. Along with the name and address of the intermediary bank, a SWIFT code or sort code needs to be included. Third-party foreign wires are not accepted.

You can fund your “mytradebook” account by depositing a check into any of our listed bank accounts. Please note that the availability of funds in your “mytradebook” brokerage account could take 24 to 72 hours, depending on the banking institutions involved, which impacts the clearing time.

Availability of Funds

  • Availability of funds in your trading account varies and depends on the payment method used for funding. We advise any users who intend to make use of their funds immediately to please access the online payment mode.
  • Check payments deposited into any of our banks through a third-party bank will have to go through Interbank clearing for settlement, which could take 48 to 72 hours. The funds will only be available for trading after confirmation that the funds have cleared
  • Please Note: Your CSCS and “mytradebook” brokerage account numbers would be required for verification when funding your account through the bank. Please reference them on your deposit slip.
  • When the source and destination banks are the same, for check payments, funds could be available within 24 hours. For example: If you deposit a GTB check into our GTB account, your brokerage account could clear the same day.
